Tillandsia Caput Medusae
With its distinctive, tentacle-like leaves, the Tillandsia Caput Medusae is truly a conversation starter. Native to Mexico, this air plant gets its name from the Greek mythological figure Medusa, as its curled, wavy leaves resemble the mythical creature’s snake-like hair.
Grown with care in our specialty nursery, each plant is given the time to develop its unique, sculptural form and vibrant green hue.
Care Tips:
-
Prefers bright, indirect light—near a window works best
-
Water with a light mist every 10–14 days
-
In more humid environments, mist less often
-
Allow to dry fully within 4 hours—good airflow is essential
-
Avoid soaking; Caput Medusae is more sensitive to overwatering than some air plants
