Tillandsia Tectorum
This one looks like it drifted in on a cloud. Native to the high Andes of Ecuador and Peru, the Tillandsia Tectorum is covered in soft, silvery fuzz—thanks to an abundance of trichomes that help it pull moisture from the air. It's delicate in appearance but surprisingly tough.
Grown slowly in our specialty nursery, each one is given the time and space to develop its signature texture and sculptural shape.
Care Tips:
-
Prefers bright, indirect light—ideally near a window
-
Water with a light mist every 10–14 days
-
In humid environments, mist less often
-
Always allow to dry fully within 4 hours—good airflow is key
-
Avoid soaking; Tectorum is more sensitive to overwatering than most air plants
Size Guide:
Small: About 2–2.5 inches wide, 1.25 inches tall
Large: About 3–4 inches wide, 1.5 inches tall

Tectorum doesn’t ask for much—but it brings a lot. Light, soft, and beautifully different.
